Sick is a film detailing the life of Bob Flanagan, Supermasochist. Flanagan lived his days in constant pain (cystic fibrosis) and was a confirmed survivor. Justified or not, he became a performance artist, making self-inflicted pain his art. His contribution to the arts world is debatable but I must admit that it is interesting to hear this. A mix of music from the soundtrack (which itself is pretty unique and twisted, in an orchestral manner) and Flanagan’s performances and reminiscings, Sick is sick entertainment, and some of us like it like that.
