Sleepyhead

Late Night Thinkin’ EP

Sealed Fate

Let’s hear it for small labels with great taste. This is only the second release I’ve heard from Sealed Fate (the first being the Push Kings), and it’s ambrosia. Sleepyhead play a sort of subtly-fuzzed pop, and the opening “Wake-Up Call,” with its chugging chords, sweetly ringing guitar lines and involved structure is a prime example of a perfect single. The title track is a happy throwback to the days when wheezy organ peacefully co-existed with subdued guitar. Solid and collectable. Sealed Fate, P.O. Box 9183 #120, Cambridge, MA 02139
