Extra Eye

Teen Beat

Concept albums are one thing. Concept albums that detail a story are another. Concept albums about outcast aliens finding love on Earth are yet another. Extra Eye features the tale of Benz, a two-eyed freak of nature born in a planet of one-eyed extraterrestrials. After years in space, he makes it to Earth, where our tale truly begins.

Goofy, but not outright surreal, Extra Eye is mostly interesting as a tale on disc; the music is enjoyable in an operetta kind of way, especially if you enjoy odd time signatures and clever chord changes. TeenBeat, P.O. Box 3265, Arlington, VA 22203; http://www.erols.com/teenbeat
