The Fastbacks have made a career out of a trademark sound – chunky power pop guitar sound behind angelic female harmonies – but that doesn’t mean that all albums sound the same. This EP (hardly an EP, with nine live bonus tracks) features more of the Fastbacks’ sweet fuzz, with an interesting rendition of MTX’s “Book of Revelation.” The live stuff rips – it sounds like it was sent straight to a mini-recorder that someone forgot to take out of their pocket..
