Rendezvous

Jazzy and chock full of attitude, the Nightcaps steer clear of trying to cash in on any sort of retro trend, instead following their instincts with fairly impressive results. For the most part, the band sticks to the sort of smoky sound that no doubt will attract nouveau loungers and swingers in droves. Still, they pull quite a few rabbits out of their hat, like “You Lied,” a rowdier track which I could have sworn was written by the Hatebombs. Lotsa fun. Rendezvous Records, P.O.
