Ann Beretta

bitter tongues

Fueled By Ramen

While this is far from the most original thing out there, Richmond’s Ann Beretta do play honest, heartfelt pop punk that’s catchy and well executed. This falls well within the territory that bands like The Clash and The Jam, as well as Social Distortion and Rancid, pioneered long ago. It’s music that comes across far better in a live setting, but this is just about as good a pop punk record as you’re going to get in 1998. Fueled By Ramen, P.O. Box 12563, Gainesville, FL 32604
