Fudgegun

If You Could See My Office

This quartet from Michigan’s CD features ten songs in 17 minutes and 40 seconds. You do the math. Two boys, two girls, sort-of pop songs with weird scratchy guitar chording, vocal tradeoffs, and a bit of the punk rock shouting thing. The only band I’ve heard that sounds anything like this is Sonic Youth, and that’s still not a very good analogy. So go see Fudgegun at the Hardback Cafe in Gainesville on May 13. Fudgegun, P.O.
