It may seem a little odd for a straight male to review a live album from a lesbian comedian, but like good music, or literature, comedy knows no gender, racial, or sexual limitations. Funny is funny, and Georgia Ragsdale is funny. I first listened to Always Forward, Never Straight while painting my hallway, and thought I would injure myself laughing. Some of her takes on identifying gay children, the WNBA, and Ellen DeGeneres are not restricted to a gay audience. Granted, there are some jokes that would have added meaning to a gay audience – well, that’s just lucky for them. Georgia Ragsdale is a funny as anyone I’ve listened to in a while.
