These guys must be older than the wheel, I’ve been hearing their name on the underground for years upon years. Their experience shows with their first Pavement release, because they can write songs like they were going to the Super Bowl of death metal. Although the majority of their music is played at a pace slightly slower then your typical death metal album, they keep the intensity with the riffs they use in their songs. I’m partial to the first song, “The Killing Machines.” Rather then sticking to the typical lyrical content of death metal, this band would rather address matters such despair, desperation, and utter loss of hope, you know, stuff that we can all identify with. If you are always on the look out for some quality traditional death metal, this is as far as you have to go. Aside from the minor complaint of the guitars not being quite as prevalent as I usually like them, this is a great release. Pavement Music, P.O.
