Not just another English pop band, these guys quickly rose to the top, powered by their musical savvy and their artistic sensibilities. They draw their name from the sensational World Cup Soccer championships held in Mexico in 1970. The sport is obviously important to them, but so is entertaining the crowd.
The band’s material is hookish, yet unpretentious. The single “I Want You” received some serious airplay from Florida radio stations last year. The real gem on the CD is the cover of Tim Hardin’s classic “It’ll Never Happen Again.”
