Los Lonely Boys, the Garza brothers, Henry (20, guitar/vocals), Joey (18, bass), and Ringo (16, drums [natch]) are as tight and soulful a trio as you are likely to hear these days. Imagine Ritchie Valens with Stevie Ray Vaughn on guitar, and you’ll get a pretty good image of the sound of their debut disc. Featuring Reese Wynans from Vaughn’s Double Trouble band on keyboards, this record has great songs, beautiful harmonies and Henry’s stinging guitar. Live, these guys move mountains with a bluesy pop sound that this record only hints at, on such songs as “Diamonds” and “Are you Ready,” the rest of the disc moving in a more radio-friendly vein. If you get a chance, catch these guys live, then pick up the record. _Sofaking, 2221 Peachtree Rd. Suite D623, Atlanta GA. 30309, www.loslonelyboys.com_
