Demonarch

Helmeticum

Century Media

Those die-hard Moonspell fans out there may as well go out and buy this right now. This is actually most of the members of Moonspell releasing material written early in their career. Don’t expect to hear any of your favorite gothic metal tunes on this release though, the band has changed a lot since they first started writing. This material is a bit harsher then most of their other material. If you could back track all of their material to the first album, and then imagine a more violent and aggressive version of the band’s Century Media debut, then you will have an idea of what this album is like. Check out the song “Of a Thousand Young.” Although this does not have the gothic dominance of Moonspell’s other material, you can hear that it has always fascinated them on songs like “Nine Angles.” As always, I recommend this album to all lovers of harsh metal.
