The Neanderthal Spongecake

The Side Effects of Napalm

Xemu

“Danger Will Robinson! We’ve become what we parody!” That’s my take on this strange, mostly acoustic punk jazz record of French death chants. Of note: they cover Quiet Riot’s “Metal Health” twice; “Tastes Like Chicken” (everything, even New Jersey sewage… ) and “Boss God,” where one listens to Pat Metheny all day long in heaven. Way over the edge, this. Xemu Records, 34 W. 17Th Street, 5th Floor, New York, NY 10011
