High Karate starts out with “In the Mood” by Revelations in a nice house-styled drum-n-bass track, and then proceed to place one horrifyingly better track after another. For myself, Subnation’s “Scottie,” Rogue Unit’s “Black Gold,” and L. Double’s “Enemies Vol. 2” pound out closest to the heavy-bass-grind that I love in drum-n-bass. But do not worry, there are at least three or four tracks for everyone. Over the course of 1999, keep your eyes out in stores and the press for releases from Mutant Sound System. They are putting out a continuos wealth of music that I’m pretty sure is going to get a lot of attention. Better yet start requesting DJ’s and radio stations and Clubs to play stuff off this label. Flat out the best Underground Label in existence.
