Still I Can’t Be Still
Hollywood
On paper, I should really like this record, but I guess that’s why we listen to the blasted things before we review them. The record has all the stuff to be good – a female singer/songwriter with good pipes and promising style. But it’s deathly dull, as an album. There are songs that are pretty good, but they don’t stand out enough to really remember hearing them. I got a bad sense of deja vu listening to this record, I just felt I had heard it all before, and most of it, I didn’t like the first time around. When artists start reminding you of Johnny One Notes like Meredith Brooks, you know there’s a problem.
