Stretch Princess

Stretch Princess

Wind Up

Stretch Princess has the chance to be really big. Their non-threatening girl rock sound fits right in the Natalie Imbruglia/Veruca Salt/Sundays generic vein. While there is nothing bad about their album, with its jaunty tunes and pleasant vocals, it’s all fluff that doesn’t stick to your ribs. From the uptempo first track “Oooh!” to the power ballad “Heavy,” each previous song is forgotten by the middle of the next song. Lost in a blizzard of blandness. But someone out there is going to lap up this stuff – teenage girls. The fact Stretch Princess has already had songs pop up on teeny bopper programs like Felicity and the teen girl fantasy movie She’s All That showcases the band’s intended audience.
