Cul De Sac
Portland Cement 7”
Earworm
Very nice guitar instrumental broken with well-placed dissonance, like industrial age factory noise, steam train flashbacks, make up the folk-touched arrangement of John Fahey’s “Portland Cement Factory”. The B-side is an original, “Hagstrom,” which is a sort of meandering rambling improv folk jazz noise tune. Not easy listening, but definite good listening. It’s mellow, but with just enough dischord to keep the back of your neck twitching.
