Nothing Personal [Reissue]

No Idea

With the folding of Network Sound, No Idea has stepped up to ensure that this first album from Tampa’s increasingly beloved indie pop/emo sweethearts Hankshaw stays available. It’s been a while since I listened to this record, and I forgot how wonderful it is, filled with sweet, glorious melodies with well-sung high register vocals courtesy of Harold, misleading at times, given the sometimes sad lyrics. There’s a hint of punch and breaks among the catchiness to keep you rocking out among the sweetness, but in general this is a smooth, pleasant record.
