Middle Eastern droners are caught red-handed amidst an unrecognizable cast of faceless belly dancers, astronauts, scuba divers, and opium abusers during moments in which no words are expected. Quietly insistent like eyes starring from across a room, but there’s something missing here as if this was intended to be accompanied by flesh and movement and sweat. In the process of recording this, representatives of the late Irving Klaw Trio have become sinister, dark, and possibly a bit mystical.
