The Revelers

Day In, Day Out

spinART

How lazy can you get? (Or in this case, how lazy can I get?) I was searching for comparisons to describe the new album from the Revelers, and I was thinking the Cure and maybe even the Knack… nah. ‘Cause then I stumbled upon my review of their last album, and the description still fits: “Pure pop for now people? Maybe. If you like catchy alt pop, you don’t need me to extol the virtues of a catchy pro-forma verse/verse/chorus. So rather than preach to the converted about the music, I’ll do you one better. I’ll give you a few reasons to not like this band (none of which I particularly agree with): Their songs are too catchy. They use an organ. They’re ugly. They sound British. They’re from Cleveland. My opinion? I like ‘em, of course.”

I still haven’t decided whether I will sue myself for copyright infringement, but in the meantime, check out the Revelers.
