I haven’t been one of the many panicking over the Y2K thing, but it was a little beyond ominous when lightning knocked out our server — not once, not twice, but three times — during the production of the issue you’re either holding in your hands or reading on our Web site (and hey, if you’re not already checking out all the exclusive content at www.ink19.com, you should be!). Considering that server problems were only a part of the headaches, which included several other minor problems with e-mail and the Internet throughout the month, maybe it’s not such a bad idea to stock up on canned goods and bottled water, just in case…

At any rate, if the apocalypse DOES come with Y2K, you can rest assured that Ink Nineteen will still reach you as scheduled — our production is all done on Macs, so we should be good for another couple hundred of years. Now, if we can just make the hamsters run fast enough to power those Macs when the IBM clones take out the power grid…
