The Mercury Program/Versailles

Split 7”

Boxcar

These bands go well together. Both churn out low-fi indie rock with a good sense of what makes a song interesting. If I had to compare each to other bands, I’d say that Versailles’ twists and turns put them somewhere between Unwound and Polvo; The Mercury Program’s music and low key/screamed vocals bring Slint to mind. Both are definitely worth checking out if you’re into the indie thang.
