Sounds From Psychedelphia

Hey, something’s up in the City of Brotherly Love. Whether “psychedelphia” is a genre, a scene or a loose collective of similarly-minded (and geographically proximate) musicians remains to be seen, but this collection of ten tracks from as many artists fulfills the promise of the term completely. Mesmerizing and shifting, yet still completely hummable, these acts mix modern indie influences with the acid-drenched innerspace noodlings you may expect. Watch for future offerings from Three 4 Tens, Asteroid #4 and Azusa Plane, but in the meantime you can keep busy with this.
