In Memoriam

The Music Cartel

Slow, lethargic, droning doom metal. It doesn’t get any better than this, unless you’re already in a coma. Power chords fully distorted and held for like 6 measures. This needs to be played loud to attain the full Marshall stack crunch. In some spots, the bass is a little over eq-ed, but overall it sounds raw and meaty.

This CD is over 70 minutes long, so put this in the next time you toke up, and your buzz will seem even longer. The first half is from a 1990 recording session; the second half is from a 1991 live show taped in Holland. (I think there’s like 10 people at the live show, ya think they would have put some more crowd noise in like Metallica does!)
