Voodoo Trucker

Cargo

Deadbolt, the self-proclaimed “Scariest Band In The World,” changes lifestyles as often as they release albums. Voodoo Trucker contains fourteen tales and portraits based on their experiences in the field of supernatural transportation. Most of the music is slow, surfy, and heavily reverbed, perfect backdrops for the grim stories as told by Harley Davidson’s slow deep voice. Think of a recently paroled James Earl Jones. In “Voodoo Curse,” we learn the wiles of the Voodoo Trucker, while “Roadside Cross” gives us a peek into the mind of a deranged highway killer. “The Mocker” and “Let’s Truck” are brilliant examples of CB radio crankery – the Jerky Boys could learn a thing or two. 10-4, dead buddy.
