The first track from Gettin’ High begs the question, “are we a rock band or what?” That is, in fact, a good question. The meat of this album consists of high-energy guitar riff samples. Turntable scratching, furious synthesized beats, flute and piano snippets and vocal samples accompany this. If the band’s objective is to drive dance clubs into a frenzy, then they definitely succeed.
