Kid Dynamite

Shorter, Faster, Louder

Jade Tree

Truth in labeling. Shorter, Faster, Louder is an apt synopsis when comparing this to their last record. The basics remain the same – speedy hardcore/punk with great breaks and plenty of opportunities for singalongs. Passionate, intense and catchy as all hell. Great lyrics, favorites being “Three’s A Party,” about tough guy bullshit spoiling the scene and “S.O.S.,” about parting. There’s also a cover of Token Entry’s “Birthday” on here, with Ernie Parada helping out on vocals.

Kid Dynamite broke up recently, leaving us with two full-lengths and an EP. All are quite solid and recommended. I’m crossing my fingers for more ruckus from ex-members sometime in the future.
