Mama’s Boys

Sonic Unyon

Some moody styling emo from these kids. Some angst, some high but steady guitar drone, some melodic instrumentation building up into almost Cure-like dramatics and catching on that pop wave with some Jimmy Eat World style dynamics. The coolest thing? They’re Canadian. The drive is hard but the delivery is clean. Tight and edgy, pushing some good energy through the speakers. Not always good as in positive (“…and I would rather feel the pain and spend time licking my wounds…”), but good as in it makes you move, it gets you to groove. Dark and sharp and dirty. Some kind of sonic knife.
