Bill Laswell

Dub Chamber 3

ROIR

Dub like you like it. Four tracks, three around twn minutes and a seventeen-minute closer, keeping you focussed and entertained during your workday. Laswell’s jazzy treatments give some edge to dub’s dull repetition, and Dub Chanber 3 is heavy on the tablas and bass (courtesy of Karsh Kale and Jah Wobble, respectively), but guest appearances from electriic piano (Craig Taborn) and guitar (Nicky Skopelitis) keep this from becoming another warmed-over Jamaican curry.
