Bonfire Madigan

Saddle The Bridge

Kill Rock Stars

Cellos, brooding female vocals, powerful songs – and I’m not talking about Rasputina. Bonfire Madigan may well be cursed by linkage to Marilyn Manson’s favorite all-girl cello act, Rasputina. But Bonfire Madigan not only stand on their own, they are far superior to Rasputina, if for no other reason than the sheer quality of Madigan Shive’s songwriting. Saddle The Bridge avoids the artsy-fartsy pitfalls that a cello based band would surely encounter, and they really rock. Bonfire Madigan is no tea and crumpets affair, they just use a cello in place of a Stratocaster. But I must advise… don’t try this at home. Cello-based rock music is best left to the professionals, best left to Bonfire Madigan.
