Murder City Devils

In Name and Blood

Sub Pop

They’ve still got it. The rock is in their blood, and no apologies are made, or needed. Many bands are trying to go where these guys are going, but so far none get there quite as good. You know what it is. It’s rock and roll. It’s raw, and this album, as well produced as it is, brings out that rawness like broken glass. The songs shoot through you, and you cant help but grin wicked. The organ drives, the guitars bleed, the bass throws you into the middle of the street, and the vocals run you over, then they hit reverse and do it again. If you need someone to kick your ass, just throw this on and turn it up. Yeah.
