Separation Anxieties

V2

From alternative rock to slight lounge swing, to David Lynch jazz sounds. Sometimes the lyrics are a bit too silly, in that I-want-to-be-hip-and-clever way. Sometimes the music goes straight for some demented Japanese-pop thing, only to go bouncing back into that hard-edge Barenaked Ladies-meets-the Dead Milkmen kind of thing. The hooks are good, but the album isn’t solid, and sometimes the point gets lost.
