Brita’s self-titled album should be a showcase for her sizable vocal talents. On the first track, “Do You Want Me,” it succeeds. Even though there are a number of obvious nods to recent Madonna records, Brita’s vocal stylings help it to rise above just a Madonna wannabe. Unfortunately, the rest of the album is irredeemably dull. With some more energy, the record might have been salvaged.
