The Oranges

Five Dollar EP

Morphius

This one actually comes with a CD of exactly the same five songs that you find on the 7-inch. Maybe it’s a special edition for all those people who don’t have record players (those silly, silly people)? The Oranges play a fine mix of styles that pull the past into right now. There’s hints of Rolling Stones, Sex Pistols, Clash, Elvis Costello, and it all has that nice rock n’ roll sound. The gritty dirt crunch of the guitars, the slight accent in the sneer of the singer. Some movement between the decades here, just not focused on this one.
