The Real Diego

The Real Diego

What Else

Cloud-touched and melodic, tight and winding pop songs. Sometimes reminding me of the gone (but not forgotten) Dharma Bums pushed into a small room with Sunny Day Real Estate. Hints of those soaring vocals, like Mineral or the Gloria Record. The speed hits briefly, but when things come down to a desert sunset slowness, that’s when the band sounds their strongest. Just a slight drizzle of light guitar notes, a slow river of bass, and then the build up into a waterfall. Strong hooks, sometimes disguised by the fullness of the songs, but when it’s over… the songs are still humming in your head.
