Maraca Five-0

Headin• South at 110 Per

Smooch

Maraca Five-0 specializes an often forgotten style of music: surf rock. These Denver-based (yes, Denver, Colorado) musicians lace their music with the characteristic reverb-drenched guitar first made popular in the ’60s to celebrate the beach and surf culture. Headin• South at 110 Per is an instrumental album that offers a bit more beyond the spacious guitar riffs. While not terribly complex, the music has enough variability to appeal to a broad range of musical tastes. This is aided, in part, by the addition of string instruments and an organ on two of the tracks. “Headin South” is a fun album that caters to listeners who are eager for a blast from the past.
