Film School

Brilliant Career

metoo!

At once lo-fi and intimate, yet spacious and breathtaking, this release by Film School is an exceptional debut. Characterized as moody and dreamy, the album is capable of transcending these limitations to be both direct and introspective without entailing any of those clichés such a description might warrant. Primarily written and performed by Krayg Burton, the album does contain noteworthy guest musicians. However, that is not why you should buy the album. You should buy this album because it reminds me of the great bands from the late eighties and early nineties who were capable of melding feedback and guitar strumming to introspective lyrics. Awash on feedback, you wish the songs would go on forever.
