In an exploration of “classic trance,” DJ Dave “The Wave” Dresden claims there were no computers used to mix this album, and for electronic music, that’s something to be proud of. However, this album lacks something really important that stops it from being great: it’s toeing the line of reason, and in many tracks, the emotion just isn’t there. Some of the tracks that do push the envelope a little and break away from the monotone recordings of the majority of this album are “Greece 2000” (3 Drives on a Vinyl) and “Madagascar” (Art Of Trance). It’s not a bad CD by any call, but it just isn’t anything to write home about. I’d save my money for something that really makes me move.
