Halford

Live Insurrection

Metal-Is

The heavy metal sounds of HALFORD! Dude, this screaming homo leatherboy delivers the goods like no other. Taken form the Summer 2000 tour with Iron Maiden (Bruce Dickenson appears on this album) and Queensryche, this double-CD collection is the live metal album of the year. Surrounding himself with buff metal talent, Rob Halford (or simply “Halford”) hammers out an awesome mix of lots of new material (from the recent Halford studio album) and Judas Priest. The new live tunes, like “Resurrection,” “Cyberworld,” and “Into the Pit,” are fine metal anthems, but “Made In Hell” is the best musical biography of true heavy metal I’ve heard! The live versions of “Stained Glass” and “Beyond the Realms of Death” would satisfy any starving Judas Priest fan, but there’s more: “Metal Gods,” “Tyrant,” and a rousing version of “Breaking The Law.” Also included are three new studio tracks, “Screaming in the Dark,” “Heart of a Lion,” and “Prisoner of Your Eyes.” The old man is producing a heck of a lot of great new metal, and his voice is still screaming for vengeance.
