I can’t help but love those emo rock lyrics• “when the creativity of Christmas has gone where will you be/and when you realize that there is no courage in that caffeine how will you feel•”, but the music moves beyond what you might expect. Harsh and aggressive guitar-driven bites that fall into melodic pop with a punk-touched twist. A steady beat that shakes your head, as the sadness in the words makes you close your eyes. Then there’s the songs that just hit you, slower and sadder with an almost out of tune vibration that cuts against the rhythm like the memory of sorrow. It gets rough, but never too rough.
