Captain Corelli’s Mandolin

Original Motion Picture Soundtrack – Music Composed by Stephen Warbeck

Decca/Universal

Mostly moody, sad, romantic, classically orchestrated songs. Also includes two cute dance numbers (“The Tango” and the Mexican-inspired “Santa Lucia”), two instrument solos (“The Mandolin” and “The Guitar”), and two opera-worthy works by Russell Wilson (“Senza Di Te” and “Ricordo Ancor (Pelagia’s Song)”). If you enjoyed the score form the movie, then this would be good for you, but it’s the type of music that has such a driving emotional force that it really needs to have visual company to be understood.
