Jennifer Paige

Positively Somewhere

Hollywood

If you own a radio you’ve heard “Stranded” and “Crush” (Jennifer’s summer hit). Her new album, Positively Somewhere, is mainstream pop, of course, most likely to grace the airwaves of your light rock station often. The ongoing focus is the guy who got away, the guy who lied and left, the guy who cheated, and of course, the superguy who is, well, a superguy (melt, melt). A surprising talent in pop music is writing and Paige managed to do some of that on this album. Positively Somewhere is reminiscent of Amy Grant, and the sweet, country-tinged “You Get Through” is sure to be a favorite among wedding DJs. It’s not the worst CD that was ever made, but unless you’re a true fan, don’t waste your money, because it’s not the best, either.
