The Natural History

Startime International

The Natural History’s self-titled debut EP is a raw, blues-fused recording reminiscent of recent post-punk darlings The White Stripes and The Vines

The EP features primarily mid-tempo tunes with a focused backbone of drummer Derek Bockins and bassist Julian Tepper. Julian’s brother, Max Tepper, masterfully sings with dry emotion while playing his brand of blues-punk on such songs as “So He’ll Say” and “Broken Language.” The former reminds of a Cake tune, down to Max’s somewhat odd vocal delivery.
