Million Dollar Marxists

Million Dollar Marxists

Little Bullhorn

Debut offering from Canadian rawk act Million Dollar Marxists, and they manage to pull quite a few tricks out of their sleeves on here. Sure, you’ve heard it all before, but the no frills early Hellacopters style deserve a revisit now and again, and on tracks like “Try Begging,” “Rolling Over” and the splendid “Give it a Name,” Million Dollar Marxists play fine, wholesome, raucous rawk like it’s either 1971 or 1993 all over again. A bit too one-dimensional and churning for its own good – especially considering the stiff competition out there today – but this is still a promising and fun first effort.
