Taking Back Sunday

After almost two years since the release of their last album, Taking Back Sunday is back on the scene and with a vengeance. Their new release, Louder Now, is, well, just that. The album is the band’s first release on a major record label, after their departure from Victory Records. Its eleven tracks are laced with heavy guitar riffs and lyrics that demand (and will captivate) all of your attention. Lead singer Adam Lazarra’s voice fluctuates between heartfelt, piercing pleas and softer, mellow tones. The first single, “MakeDamnSure,” is great for summing up the new sound and will probably be a crowd favorite at shows. I may even be so bold as to say this is their best album to date, with this line-up. Regardless, one thing’s for sure: make damn sure you give this album a listen.
