Interchill

Here’s a calm, cool, and collected disc of electronica designed to keep you off your feet. Interchill has pulled together 10 tracks from the likes of Eat Static, Hibernation, Slackbaba, and Legion of Green Men, and allows them to flow together effortlessly in a field of electronic beeps and boops. I suspect no actual strings or drum heads where injured to make this music; its precision and coolness flows from some silicon microprocessor running LISP. The music reeks of dim, blue LEDs and pasty looking European musician/programmers dressed in flat black clothes and no deodorant. The musical ethos comes nowhere near revolution or reform, but slides along with the status quo while we watch an anime video with the sound track disconnected. Stare at the computer-generated buckyballs on the cover, and if you cross your eyes just right, you can count the electrons in the s orbital.
