Hatebreed

Satisfaction is the Death of Desire

Victory

This CD is about as close as it gets to metal. Very heavy bass and guitars, with frog-in-throat vocals, and tight beats. There’s fast songs, plus lots of slower dance parts and double bass (14 songs of `em!). They sound like a tireless dumptruck, grrrrrrind.

The music is good, but it seems like it’s got a touch of the “cliché” to it. So many bands write moshfest songs these days, that it’s kinda lame. Hatebreed is not crap by any means, but they do sound like, you know, all the latest “uuughh” bands. But they ARE fast at times, so they get at least 3 stars in my opinion. This is definitely worthwhile, check it out/bang yer head. Victory Records, P.O. Box 146546, Chicago, IL 60614; http://www.victoryrecords.co
