Silver Scooter

The Other Palm Springs

Peek-A-Boo

I liked their seven inches a lot. Their track “Pumpkin Eyes” on the Don’t Forget To Breathe compilation was one of my favorites. Yet even with my love of Silver Scooter firmly established, I still was not fully prepared for how much I was going to like this album.

Silver Scooter are blessed with a knack for crafting blissfully masterful indie pop songs. There are fourteen on here, and I’m thankful for each and every one of them. This is one of those albums that will be with me for a long time. For the most part these are slower, kinda quiet songs, but they manage to convey a fluid power. Emo fans should appreciate this, too. Highly recommended. Peek-A-Boo Industries, P.O. Box 49542, Austin, TX 78765; www3.pair.com/~travesty/peekaboo.htm
