The Union

In Terminus, GA 1997

Bullsitter/Ichiban

The Union is not to be confused with relative newcomers (and KISS/Mötley Crüe byproduct) Union, detailed elsewhere this magazine. Alternating between edgy guitar work and introspective pop gems, In Terminus is a powerhouse from start to finish. Between the sweet and innocent melody and lyricism of “Hudson River Valley/Green Eyes” and the pounding spiky thunder of “Supe” lies a whole range of emotions and riffs, captured clearly and cleanly by Mr. Steve Albini. The Union prove irrefutably that the genre of powerhouse guitar pop is nowhere near as stagnant nor played out as the charts would have us believe. Catchy and original. The Union, 149 Peachtree Circle NE #23, Atlanta, GA 30309
