This band of Texans has a definite niche dug out for them. They fit in with the likes of Solitude Aeturnus or Candlemass with their style of doom-laden, Black Sabbath-like music. I realize that I can be liberal with the Black Sabbath comparisons, but just listen to “The Belated” and tell me you don’t notice something! I will say that I think these guys are great, and that this is the album that you should put on to scare your neighbors into moving away. All my death metal albums just annoy people, but this is the one to scare people with. The main drawback of the band is the amount of repetition in the album, which at times make it difficult to tell songs apart, but it does have its moments, such as the trippy keyboard laced track “The Living Waters.” You can listen to any song on the album to get an idea of what the group is like, however my thrash tuned ears enjoyed the track “Things To Come.” The quality of the music in this group is good.
